| DC Baramulla chairs NERPAP meeting | | Baramulla, March 04, (Scoop News)-In connection with National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP), a meeting was today convened by Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla.
The meeting was held to work out a plan for implementation of National Electoral Rolls Purification and Authentication Programme launched by Election Commission of India. The main issues discussed in the meeting were erasing duplicate entries from the roll manually through Booth Level Officers and through software by running the duplicate and health roll options in Electoral Roll Monitoring System (ERMS) .
Meanwhile making of database of Mobile Numbers and E-mail ID of electors through BLOs was also given shape. The Aadhar numbers are to be connected with the Election Photo Identity Card database.
Moreover, ERO’s will make Booth awareness groups by involving the representatives of political parties, Sarpanchs, Panchs and other prominent citizens.
It was also given out that in various areas cropping and scanning of Aadhar is going on. Moreover for running SVEEP programme in the district, all the EROs and AEROs were also directed to make sufficient number of Form 6, 7, 8 and 8A available to BLOs .
