MLA Nubra appreciates CM’s positive response


Leh,March 27 (Scoop News)- MLA Nubra Deldan Namgyal today appreciated and thanked Chief Minister J&K Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for giving positive response to his question tabled in the J&K Assembly yesterday regarding inner line permit issues of Nubra region.

Quoting the response of Chief Minister,which says “The matter regarding extending the inner line permit for foreign tourists from Panamik to Varshi, including Yarma, Gumpa and Yarma Gongu monastery (in protected areas) in Nobra valley of Leh district, has been taken up with the Ministry of Home Affairs by the State Government in February this year”, Namgyal hoped that all issues of Nubra regarding inner line permit will be solved soon.

Meanwhile, yesterday, MLA Nubra also raised several questions in the assembly regarding public distribution system issues of Leh district. He demanded for increasing the present quota of K. Oil from 80 Ltrs /per ration card/per annum to 150 Ltrs giving genuine justification that Ladakh being the coldest region of the nation having no resources for heating purpose needs K.Oil in added quantity. He also demanded for opening of a FCI Depot in Nubra valley and disposal of rotten rations from the CAPD stores of Ladakh at the earliest. He also demanded for early issuance of latter of interim issue in favour of applicants who have applied for Dealership for LPG Takyshi and Panamik centers under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak ( RGGLV) scheme. He also demanded for abolition of online booking and supply of LPG cylinders system for Leh district as due to poor internet facilities supply of LPG cylinders is badly affected in Leh.

Regarding opening up of a new patrol pump in Nubra region, Namgial requested for early advertisement of the dealership for the patrol pump so that construction of patrol pump could be started in the month of May-June 2015.

Giving reply to the questions of MLA, Nubra Minister for Consumer Affairs & Pubic Distribution & Tribal Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar
Ali assured to give special relaxation for Ladakh region in allotment of additional quotas of rations and also assured to provide additional funds for Ladakh.

He also questioned Mr Abdul Ghani Kohli Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) for opening of a ARTO branch at Nubra and conducing driving test at Nubra by monthly. He also demanded for giving JKSRTC bus services for Turtuk, Yarma, Digger and Panamik villages of Nubra region at the earliest.
