QH in Council:Government contemplating to develop transfer policy in the Education Sector
for Ladakh region
Jammu, March 30 (Scoop News)-Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar said that the Government is contemplating to develop a transfer policy in the Education Sector for Ladakh region to address the issues relating to posting tenures of non locals in the region.
The Minister said this while replying to a question by Haji Ananyat Ali in the Legislative Council today.
He said against 161 sanctioned posts of lecturers in 14 Higher Secondary Schools of Kargil district 78 lecturers are in position and 83 are lying vacant.
The Minister said these posts shall be filled up during the coming academic session. He said that these posts are being filled up on academic arrangement for the academic session by the Chief Education Officer.

Rs. 3521 cr expended under MGNREGA since launch in the State: Haq Khan
Issue of clearing liabilities taken up with centre
An amount of Rs. 3521.51 crore has been expended under MGNREGA for under taking different works in the State since its launch in 2006-07 up to ending February 2015.
The information was given by the Minister for Rural Development, Abdul Haq Khan while replying to a question by Naresh Kumar Gupta in Legislative Council today.
Khan said that issue of the release of requisite funds to the tune of Rs. 373 crore for clearing the liabilities stands taken up with the Union Ministry of Rural Development for which State has submitted special proposal and accordingly the funds shall be released to all districts/blocks of the State after due verification.
The Minister said that 30698 works have been completed in the districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban during 2013-14, whereas 8413 works are in progress during the current year out of which 15 stand completed in the districts.
The infrastructure created under MGNREGA includes lanes and drains, tractor roads, bridal paths, culverts, bridges, check dams, ponds, wells, water springs, water harvesting tanks, protection bunds, irrigation canals, irrigation khuls, plantation enclosures, nurseries, Panchayat ghars, play fields, individuals households latrines, development of barren and waste lands, cremation sheds and goat shelters, he added.
G.N. Monga, Jugal Kishore, Surinder Kumar Choudhary and Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo raised supplementaries to the main question.





District Budgam being provided safe drinking water: Paddar
Minister of State for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Abdul Majid Paddar while replying to a question by Ali Mohammad Dar in the Legislative Council today said that all habitations in district Budgam are being provided safe drinking water facility.
He said in some of the habitations the service level is below the normal. He said to meet the demands, the department has taken up various water supply scheme which are under execution with funding under NRDWP, District Sector and JnNURM etc. He said after completion of these schemes the service level shall definitely increase.
Sofi Yousuf raised supplementary to the main question.
