DC Baramulla hold review meetings at Singhpora
Baramulla, March 30 (Scoop News)In order to review the situation arisen due to heavy rains, a meeting of officers was held at Singhpora Pattan today with Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla in chair.
It was given out in the meeting that water level in all Nalhas and river has receded which has result in decrease in the water level of Jehlum.
The restoration work in all damaged Roads and Bridges is in full swing. The damaged Kunzer Bridge is underway. Meanwhile, the traffic from Srinagar to Tangmarg has been diverted via Zangam Road. The snow on Tangmarg Gulmarg road has also been clear. Various damaged link roads have been restored for traffic. Traffic on Narwah and Uri roads has been restored. The road damage due to landslides have also been restored.
The meeting was also informed that the de-watering from the water logged areas has been started.
Revenue agencies have been asked to start assistance of damaged structures. Most of families rescue yesterday from the flood affected areas are mostly have returned to their homes with the improvement in the weather conditions. The power and water supply in the district has been restored except a few places where the restoration is in the progress.
Meanwhile a thorough review of the availability of ration and food grains was also taken up. The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers of Health department to ensure availability of medicines and ambulance.
Earlier, a meeting was also held at DC’s office Baramulla in which all Sectoral & District officers, besides officers of Police and Army were present during the meeting.
