Hanjoora visits landslide affected areas
6 bodies recovered, search for survivors on
Srinagar, March 30 (Scoop News)-Minister for Agriculture, Gh. Nabi Lone Hanjoora today visited the landslide hit villages of Loolipora, Laden and other effected villages of Chrar-i- Sharief constituency.
The Minister was accompanied by the District Development Commissioner Budgam, SSP. Budgam and other officers.
The Minister visited Laden village where six persons of two families have died and several others are missing after landslides hit their residential houses.
Minister expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic incident and expressed his sympathies with the villagers and only member who survived among the two victim families.
The Minister, at the site of mishap, instructed for expediting the search for survivors by clearance of the debris that has been started after the incident. Four Bulldozer machines have been pressed in service for clearance of the debris from the site and six bodies have been recovered so far, while search for the missing persons is going on.

Later the Minister conducted extensive tour of Loolipora, Laden, Gogjipathri, Siram, Khan Mohalla, Makhdoom Mohalla, Nelanag and other affected areas and took stock of the damages to the roads, buildings and livestock caused due to the incessant rains.
The Minister asked the local administration to provide sufficient number of tents to the affected villagers. He also asked for shifting of the affected families to the safer places and instructed the Ex-Engineer (R&B) to expedite the road restoration work.
