Mir expresses concern over the alarming situation in Kashmir
NC also express concern at flood like situation
Jammu, March 30 (Scoop News)- G. A. Mir President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has Valley
occured due to the incessant rains. While expressing his serious concern, he said so many people have been rendered homeless and almost hundred percent crops have been damaged in south Kashmir and elsewhere in valley.

He said that Government must not forget the previous
devastating flood and the situation must not be allowed to go out of Control. He said our people in Valley and Jammu have suffered much due to September Floods. He impressed upon the Govt to take measure on war footing basis and save the property and precious lives of people.

Mir further impressed upon the Govt to make assessment of loss to crops and houses caused due to incessant rains and floods by a team of Experts and he (Mir) asked the Govt to provide full
compensation to affected people, without loss of time.

He assured the people that Congress Party will always work for the betterment and welfare of the people and is committed to fight for their development, safety and prosperity.


ANC express concern at flood like situation
Jammu: Awami National Conference (ANC) has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property due to incessant rains triggering flash floods across the state.

Expressing deep concern, anguish and grief over the loss of precious human life due to heavy rains, ANC Provincial President, Gian Singh appealed all the officials and activists to help the people of flood affected areas in every possible way. Expressing deep concern on the obtaining situation due to persistent rains and crisis situation in J&K, Singh has conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathies on the deaths, especially of children, that have occurred due to incessant rains, triggering flash-floods, floods and landslides. “I am deeply grieved on the loss of precious lives and also concerned over the hardships being faced by people due to Nature’s fury, as the entire state remains engulfed in a disaster-like situation and there is a state of anxiety and fear”, Singh said in a statement today.Singh further said that people are facing immense hardships and inconvenience in the current situation and it is challenge for the state government to provide relief to the affected people. “Still hundreds of people are inundated in various parts of the state, especially Valley and I suppose that administration has to gird its loins to reach out to the people for providing them necessary assistance”, said Singh, adding that I am in particular concerned over the reports that dozens of villages in South Kashmir are submerged with all the rivulets, including Vishav and river Jhelum flowing above the danger mark.”Singh called upon the state government to immediately take steps to evacuate the people stranded in various parts of the state.
