PCC Chief extends full support to the cause of working class

Jammu, March 30 (Scoop News)- A meeting of the State Body of the INTUC was held here today in which President J&K PCC G.A. Mir was the chief guest while State President INTUC Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the meeting.

The functionaries of INTUC apprised the PCC Chief about the various problems confronting the working class in the state, belonging to different sections and categories of the workers and employees and other sections. Their demands are pending wages from last two years, regularization of all casual labour of various departments of the state, revival of closed public sector units, release of pending salaries of RET teachers, revocation of orders issued by CEOs to exempt the RET teachers whether regularized or unregularized from exams duties, designation according to their work, stipend for unemployed educated youth, space be allotted to rehari and phari workers to carryout their work, removal of pay anomalies between Govt. and PSU employees etc.

They urged the Congress President to take up the issues of the working class in the state at appropriate levels to get these problems addressed. General Secretary INTUC Raghbir Singh conducted the proceedings and explained various issues confronting of labour class.

Addressing the gathering of the INTUC leaders and representatives of the various sections, the President PCC G. A. Mir assured that Congress party would remain on the forefront to raise the voice regarding the genuine demands of the working class in the state.

He said that Congress would effectively raise these issues inside and outside the Legislature for their appropriate redressal.

Mr. Mir said that working class is the strength of Nation and have contributed tremendously for the progress and prosperity of the Country. It is the hard labour of the working class that Country has came up to the level of a strong and a developed economy in the World.

He described the labour wing (INTUC) as a strong arm of the Congress party because of the pro poor and pro labour class of policies of the Congress party which has always framed and articulated its policies for the welfare of poor in the country. He appreciated the efforts of INTUC to raise effectively the genuine issues of working class from time to time in the state and assured full support to the genuine cause of working class.

The INTUC body expressed gratitude to the PCC Chief for his patient hearing to the deliberations and extended full cooperation in the strengthening of the party in the state.

Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Som Nath-(Udhampur), Ravi Khajuria (Samba), Kuldeep Kumar (Kathua), Tahir Shawal (Rajouri), Faiz Akbar Chouhan (Poonch), Banarasi Dass (Reasi), Amreek Singh (Jammu), R. S. Reen (VP Power Grid), Pushkar Raj (Nowshera), Madan Lal (Org. INTUC), Baldev Raj(BRO GRIF), Ajay Sharma (Vice President ), Vinod Kumar and others.
