| Bakula Education Campaign 2015 conducted at Kharu block | | Leh,April 22 (Scoop News)- Like other parts of Leh district, Bakula Education Campaign 2015conducted at Kharu block today with educational ferver under the chairmanship of Executive Councilor Higher Education, Mohd. Shafi Lassu.
Sarpanches, VEC members, Parents, Headmasters and teachers of various villages and educational institutions of Kharu block totaling more than 150 participants attended the campaign.
In his presidential address, Mohd Shafi Lassu said that education system through the Govt. schools all over Leh district now tremendous improved and have all capability to match up in every fields with the private schools. He said that the time has come to take some more responsibility by the stakeholders and put collective effort in increasing the enrollments mainly in all rural schools. Shafi also termed the teachers as a high stature workers in shaping a educated society and therefore, he urged the people to give more respect to the teaching community and in return they would also deliver their best for the society.
The Councilor Egoo, Tashi Norbu said that strengthening of Govt schools is very much important to get quality education to the rural children in their own cultural and traditional environment.
Principal DIET Konchok Angmo, Dy. CEO. Dechen Tsomo and ZEO, Lobzang Rigzin also spoke on the occasion and urged the people to admit all their children in Govt. schools keeping in mind that Govt Schools in entire Leh district are on a fast improving trend in every spheres of curriculums equipped with qualified teaching staff .
