DGP CRPF calls on Governor
NC delegation meets Governor
Jammu, April 24 (Scoop News)-Prakash Misra, DGP, CRPF, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
DGP Misra briefed the Governor about the obtaining security situation and the arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2015. Misra also informed the Governor about the steps being taken to further tighten the security arrangements for the Shri Vaishno Devi Yatra.
The Governor has asked DG CRPF to participate in the Shri Amaranthji Security Review Meeting which is being held at Srinagar on 14th May, 2015.



A delegation of National Conference led by A.R. Rather, former Finance Minister, and comprising Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota; Javed Ahmad Rana, MLA Mendhar; Dr. Kamal Arora, MLA Bishnah; Surjeet Singh Salathia, former Minister; Rashpal Singh, former MLA; Thakur Kashmir Singh, former MLA; Rattan Lal Gupta; and Sheikh Bashir, former MLC; called on N.N. Vohra, Governor here at the Raj Bhavan today.
The NC delegation presented a Memorandum to the Governor and apprised him about their Party’s views and serious opposition to the New Recruitment Policy recently announced by the State Government.



Firdous Ahmad Tak, Member, J&K Legislative Council, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Tak apprised the Governor about problems being faced by the people due to repeated earthquake tremors, floods, incessant rains and landslides in the Chenab Valley; and the rapidly deteriorating condition of the Batote-Kishtwar National Highway. He requested the Governor’s intervention in immediate redressal of the serious difficulties arising from natural and man-made factors.
The Governor assured Tak that his demands would receive due consideration.
