| Governor presents “Rolling Trophies” to the Universities | | Governor felicitates Sonali Dogra | Jammu, April 24 (Scoop News)- N.N. Vohra, Governor, has presented “Rolling Trophies” to the Universities of Kashmir, Jammu and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and asked the Vice Chancellors to organize Annual Declamation Contests which would involve participation of students from colleges and institutions of higher education in J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Union Territory of Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It is envisaged that such an annual event shall provide a fruitful opportunity for the participants, particularly those from the colleges in the remote areas of J&K to engage in meaningful public debates on important issues and also enhance their confidence and capacities.
The dates for these Declamation Contests shall be fixed by the concerned Universities.
Governor N.N. Vohra has presented a cash award of Rs. 5000 to Ms. Sonali Dogra a student of Government Degree College, Parade, as token of appreciation for the outstanding standard of her singing performance during the Souvenir release function of “Association of Social Health in India” which was held on 20th April, 2015.
Congratulating this young and talented Sufiana singer, the First Lady and the Governor have wished her continuing success in her future career.
