| Spalbar inaugurates highest altitude retail outlet‘Dana Petrol Pump’ | | 
Leh,May 18 (Scoop News)-The highest altitude retail outlet of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited ‘Dana Petrol Pump’ was inaugurated by Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar and Nishi Vasudeva C& MD of HPCL in presence of Mrs Jeyakrishanan ED- Retail at Deskit Tsal near TCP Leh today. In a MoU with LAHDC, Leh and HPCL, this pump is one of the unique pump of its kind in India as the profit generated from this pump will be used for giving financial help to the needy and poor patients of Leh district seeking treatment from outside Ladakh.
Expressing great happiness over the inauguration of this unique pump at Leh, CEC Rigzin Spalbar said that this pump is a pump with a difference besides its highest altitude location as whosoever fill fuel from this outlet will contribute a very good cause in helping poorest of the poor patients including cancer patients of Leh seeking medical treatment outside Ladakh and is going to prove more useful as not only for treatment of poor patients deserving students from economically poor backgrounds will also be helped financially for their higher studies adding that HPCL will certainly take pride from this matchless pump.
Mentioning about the separate account, norms and guidelines already framed to run this outlet in most efficient way, Spalbar assured the gathering that LAHDC, Leh will ensure the functioning of this corporation in most transparent way.
Appealing consumers to fill petrol from this pump for humanitarian cause Spalbar urged HPCL to install a Canopy over the pump at the earliest and assures to provide land to setup HPCL depot here to make the outlet functional round the year and added that in the later stage Hill Council will setup Souvenir shops at the site to generate more income for the noble cause.
Mr. Nishi Vasudeva C& MD, Mrs Jeyakrishanan ED- Retail and Chief Regional Manager (CRM) Manish Tandon speaking in tandem congratulated people of Ladakh on the occasion and assured to facilitate this outlet in coming months.
