| MLA Sat Sharma discusses upcoming developmental works with JMC Commissioner | |
Jammu, May 21 (Scoop News)- BJP MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) called upon JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) Commissioner Soujanya Sharma and both discussed issues pertaining to Municipal works to be taken up in Jammu West in coming days. It was also brought to the notice of Commissioner by the MLA that there is a dire need to repair and change many street lights in the Constituency as the public has been facing many problems from a very long time concerning the same.
In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma (CA) said that a fruitful meeting with the JMC Commissioner took place in the Corporation office and numerous problems faced by the people of the Constituency and the city were discussed in the meeting.
He said that JMC is planning to launch a drive just like it started Sanitation Drive in each and every Ward of the Constituency which will check the repairing and changing of Street Lights in the area. Sharma said that numerous complaints from various Wards of the Constituency were received pertaining to changing and repairing of Street Lights in the area and the step taken up JMC for solving such problem is highly appreciable as it is going to cover each and every Ward of the Constituency and new lights (LED Lights) which will consume less power will also be installed in order to cope up with the basic requirements of the public and the proposal for the same has also been made by the JMC.
Both the representatives also discussed the upcoming developmental works to be taken up in the area including construction works of Lanes and Drains, Black Topping of Roads, Garbage Diposal, Daily Uplifting of Garbage from the areas by sending Garbage Disposal Vans and various other basic issues were also discussed.
The Commissioner also brought to the notice of the MLA that the department still requires 21 Autos, 4 JCB’s, Garbage Containers, Sky Lifts and some staff including JE’s and Safai Karamcharis and the requirement for the same will be submitted by the Corporation to the concerned Minister.
The MLA assured the Commissioner that he will also take up the issue with the Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development so that both the public and the Corporation might not face any type of problems in the coming days.
