Kashmir Panthers urge Governor for intervention to provide physical security
Srinagar May 28 (Scoop News)- Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party presently visiting Kashmir Valley called on Shri N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K at Raj Bhawan and presented his latest book, ‘Unbelievable-Delhi to Islamabad’. He also urged the Governor for his intervention to provide adequate and equitable relief to the Jammu Migrants at par with the Kashmiri Migrants. He also informed the Governor that the Government has cut off electricity connection of the camping areas of the Talwara Migrants.
A meeting of the Executive of Kashmir Province Panthers Party Committee was also held under the chairmanship of Provincial President Shri Farooq Dar.
Several district presidents of Kashmir province also participated. Shri Masood Andrabi, Vice President of JKNPP raised the issues of the security cover of the Panthers Party leaders operating in the Valley at the risk of their lives. He said that the Panthers Party Kashmir based General Secretaries, Secretaries and District Presidents have not been given any security and in fact, the security cover has been withdrawn only to discriminate against the Panthers Party which has been playing a very important role in the Valley during all these days of militancy.
Prof.Bhim Singh, the Chief Guest of the occasion accused State and Central governments for treating the Panthers Party leaders as guinea pigs and keeping them off from the security cover deliberately so that the political movement could not take of in the Valley.
Prof.Bhim Singh said that the Kashmiri people and the youth have been suffering all these years and local leadership may it be Congress or NC or PDP have been exploiting the youth in order to ensure power so that they could continue their loot of State Exchequer.
Prof.Bhim Singh said that the present government does not exist anywhere in the Valley and there is a need to go for fresh and free election so that a real people’s government could be set up.
Prof.Bhim Singh said that there are two defacto states functioning within J&K for several reasons and the people of both the states deserve dejoure recognition so that the people of Kashmir shall not feel suffocated under BJP rule and on the other side people of Jammu Pradesh shall no longer remain as slaves of Kashmiri rulers.
The truth should be accepted and J&K should be organized which is constitutionally possible through an amendment in Article 370.
Prominent among other participated included M/s. Manjoor Ahmed Naik, General Secretary, Maqbool Malk and Mehboob Illahi (State Secretaries), Jehangir Khan and Abdul Majid Dar (Provincial Secretaries), District Presidents.
