| Dy. CM announces Rs. 10 lakh spl grant for Janbazpora drainage | |  Srinagar, July 28 (Scoop News)-Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today announced a special grant of Rs 10 lakhs for construction of modern drainage system in Janbazpora in Rafiabad constituency.
He said all the resources under various central and State urban and housing sectors would be exploited optimally to provide all the basic civic amenities to the people of Rafiabad.
Speaking at a meeting with the senior officers of Housing and Urban Development Department, the Deputy Chief Minister assured that all possibilities would be explored to bring Rohama town of the Rafiabad constituency under the ambit of “Municipal Committee” to ensure its balanced development.
MLA, Rafiabad, Yawar Ahmad Mir and former Minister, Mohammad Dilawar Mir besides commissioner secretary, Housing, Mr Bupil Pathik and concerned officers participated in the meeting.
Earlier Yawar Mir while urging Dr. Nirmal Singh to declare Rohama as Municipal area said that the town is a fast growing commercial hub and has a promising municipal market with about 10,000 population, which qualifies it for municipal area status.
