| Army teams up with RFFDA, embarks on growth of pisciculture in Naushera | | for creating sustainable employment for locals |
Mangiote (Naushera), July 28, (Scoop News)_The Rashtriya Rifles (RR) battalion at Kalal under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarters based at Reasi in collaboration with Regional Fish Farm Development Agency (RFFDA), Rajouri has embarked on development of Fish Farms in village Mangiote of Naushera tehsil, a defence spokesman said on Tuesday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by officials from the army, Assistant Director, RFFDA and sarpanch of village Mangiote and eminent village elders.
"The project is part of ongoing campaign of the army to generate perennial and sustainable self employment opportunities for the local population", he added.
Speaking on the occasion, the army officials said such projects will be beneficial for the people in terms of self employment and boosting the s n economic well being of the region.
They urged the people to derive maximum benefit from developmental projects being initiated by Army, with help from various government agencies.
"Such goodwill projects would go a long way towards economic prosperity of the region", the spokesman maintained.
