Bhim Singh calls on Union Home Minister
Urges for Central intervention in J&K
New Delhi, July 28 (Scoop News)-Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party called on Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister and discussed the present situation in J&K and urged immediate intervention of the Central government to intervene in the interest of security of the state and the integrity of the Union. He told the Union Home Minister that there is no iota of governance in J&K and it is free for all including the terrorists. He told the Home Minister that 60,000 casual labour have been fired in violation of their fundamental rights, 30,000 SPOs serving for two decades are still working as daily wagers in spite of discharging their duty as full fledged policemen and the contractual employees have been working as bonded labour. There is a genuine resentment among the youth because of the discriminatory recruitment policy in the state besides 15 lacs refugees from Pak and POK have not been provided any relief for their rehabilitation mostly in Jammu Pradesh. He also complained that Jammu Migrants are provided relief equivalent to 1/4th of what is being given to the Kashmiri Migrants.

Prof.Bhim Singh said that the two ruling parties BJP and PDP are working in different directions rather poles apart from each other thus causing insecurity and instability within the government.

Prof.Bhim Singh urged the Union Home Minister to call a meeting of the representatives of all recognized and registered parties in J&K to work out a consensus for the resolution of the prevailing present situation in the state so that the people at large in the state may be involved in the body politics of mainstream. He also told the Union Home Minister that Kashmiries are not against India nor they are separatists. He told that most of the people and the youth are against the anti-people policy of the government of J&K and the Govt. of India which is projected by the media and the vested interests as anti-national.

Prof.Bhim Singh also conveyed to the Union Home Minister about the disappointment of the people on the High Court judgment dated 16.07.2015 holding that Article 35(A) has vested sovereign authority in the state legislature. He said that 35(A) needs to be scrapped and Article 370 amended. He also complained about the hostile attitude of the State government towards Panthers Party activists as most of them even State and District office bearers have been stripped of their security cover while the ordinary workers of other parties are equipped with all facilities including security cover. This is because the ruling parties do not want any voice of dissent or criticism which is dangerous the growth of democratic institutions in the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh told the Union Home Minister to advice the J&K Governor to dissolve the present Legislative Assembly and promulgate Governor Rule without any delay so that free and fair election may be held shortly in the interest of democracy, rule of law and the security of the state and the people.
