| 3 cops, cab driver injured in militants attack in Pattan | |
Srinagar, July 31 (Scoop News)-Three policemen, including an SHO, and a taxi driver were injured on Friday at 9.15 pm when militants opened firing on a police check post in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police sources said that a police party at Mirgund in Pattan signaled a cab to stop but two militants inside the vehicle started firing, which was retaliated.
Sources said, in the firing, Three policemen including SHO of local police station, Inspector Saleem, were injured.
The driver of the vehicle was also injured in the firing but the militants managed to escape from the spot under the cover of darkness sources said.
The injured persons have been shifted to a hospital here for treatment.
