Army conducts a group of 22 adults on a National Integration Tour | to Punjab and Uttrakhand | Biamah (Kargil), August 27, (Scoop News)_ A National Integration Tour comprising of 22 adults between 20-45 years of age under the aegis of the Tiger Hill Brigade was flagged off from Biamah on Thursday by commander, Tiger Hill Brigade, a defence spokesman said.
He said during the sadbhavna tour, the NIT group will be visiting various places of interest and historic value at Drass, Chandigarh and Dehradun.
At Chandigarh the touring group is scheduled to interact with the governor of Punjab and UT of Chandigarh, the spokesman added.
He said the participants will be also exposed to the economic growth, culture and traditions of people outside Ladakh for the first time.
"Such visits and interaction of local adults with large cross section of the society will enable the Indian Army to help bring about a significant attitudinal awakening among a vast majority of the population especially the youth, where in there is a constant desire for peace and development", the spokesman said. ... |
