| Dr.Jitender Singh exhorts all to make Raksha Bandhan, a Suraksha Bandhan | |  Samba, August 27 (Scoop News)-The Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh today appealed all to enroll more women folk under the ambit of Narendra Modi government’s ambitious flagship social security progamme, Pradhan Mantri Bima Suraksha Yojna (PMBSY).
Dr Singh was chief guest at a function organised at Nonath Asharam ,Samba.The function was attended by MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia, MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Raj, MLC Ashok Khajuria, DDC Samba Sheetal Nanda and other dignitaries.
On this occasion, the Minister said that the social security schemes are meant to give economic and social security to every individual and widen the process of financial inclusion. Now, poor can have identity, esteem and self respect as these schemes involve little investment. He enlisted the benefits of The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana to all. He called upon all to give insurance policies as a gift to sisters this Raksha Bandhan.
Dr Singh declared that premium for female beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Bima Suraksha Yojna (PMBSY) for four model villages adopted by him–Sangwali (Samba), Humble (Doda), Bhattan (Kishtwar), Saddal (Udhampur) and girls/teachers of Akal Vidyalya shall be borne by him.
Representatives from Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank were also present on this occasion.
