| LAWDA starts demolition drive | | Srinagar, August 27 (Scoop News)-The Enforcement wing of Lakes and Water Development Authority (LAWDA) has started demolition operations in the area of Dal and Nigeen Lakes.
During last week the Enforcement wing has demolished several illegal constructions at several areas like Teilbal Wagund, Habak, NFR, Rainawari, Bahraar and inside Dal Lake, on the directions of High Court.
Moreover, a number of FIRs were lodged against the tipper drivers/owners who were illegally ferrying construction material within the jurisdiction of Dal Lake.
All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction have been asked not to go for any sort of illegal constructions. As the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions, all the tippers/load carried owners are directed not to carry construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/Nigeen Lake without permission.
