| 2 dies, 08 injured in road accidents | |
Srinagar, August 31 (Scoop News)-Two persons died while eight others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
In Srinagar, a Tata 407 vehicle bearing registration number JK01B-2833 hit and injured a pedestrian Javed Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Jogilankar, Rainawari at Sonwar Bagh in the jurisdiction of Police Station R.M Bagh. The injured was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.
In Shopian, a motorcycle driven by Javed Ahmad Ansari son of Mohammad Abdullah Ansari resident of Bijnoor, U.P at present U.P Cloth House Kulgam was hit by unknown vehicle at Dangam Bridge, resulting in on spot death of the motorcyclist. Shopian police has registered a case in this regard.
In Awantipora, a passenger LP 608 vehicle bearing registration number JK13-5189 turned turtle at Shairabad in the jurisdiction of Police Station Tral, resulting in injuries to few passengers. All the injured persons were shifted to Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment. Awantipora police has registered a case in this regard.
In Budgam, a LP vehicle bearing registration number JK04A-0214 turned turtle at Tangnar in the jurisdiction of Police Station Khan Sahib, resulting in injuries to 08 onboard passengers. The injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Khan Sahib wherefrom 03 of them were referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Budgam police has registered a case in this regard.
