| DDC Ramban reviews implementation of RDD schemes | |  Ramban, October 6 (Scoop News)-District Development Commissioner Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar Tuesday reviewed physical and financial achievements under various rural development schemes here a meeting of senior officials.
ACD Ramban, Romin Sheikh gave a recap of all developmental schemes through power point presentation highlighting the physical and financial targets proposed and achieved in the year 2015-16. He informed that out of Rs 12.05 crore available funds, Rs 6.07 crore has been utilised till Sept 2015.
The DDC directed the officers to speed up the process of utilisation of funds allocated under various heads to create durable assets like water bodies, land development and roads.
Laying emphasis on transparency and good governance, the DDC passed instructions for preparing and approving the work plans at the open meetings of the Gram Sabhas. He asked for preparing the work plans keeping in view the socio economic profile of the people living in rural and far flung areas. He also directed to display the approved plan in the concerned panchyat offices.
Referring to the “Swach Bharat Mission”, the DDC directed the officers to hold awareness programmes in each panchyat halqa in coordination with other departments to make the people aware about sanitation and cleanliness. The DDC further stressed upon early preparation of estimates with regard to works to be taken under CDFs and other schemes so that the benefits percolate down to the ground level.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Parshotam Kumar, BDOs, AD, Engineers and other concerned officers.
