| Ansari for strict adherence to sports calendar | | Reviews sports and athletic activities in Jammu | Jammu, November 20 (Scoop News)- Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today said that concerted efforts are being made to give fillip to sports and athletic activities in the state, adding that a comprehensive plan has been formulated to develop sports infrastructure across the State.
The Minister was addressing an officers meeting held here at winter capital to review the functioning of Youth Services and Sports Department.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to strictly adhere to the sports calendar in Jammu division and ensure that students in large number participate in these sports and athletic activities.
The Minister also reviewed the steps taken to promote golf in the state, reiterating that efforts are underway to develop world class infrastructure and logistic facilities for attracting golfers from across the globe. He also stressed on encouraging youth to play golf to promote local talent in the state .
Earlier, the concerned officers apprised the Minister about the activities of the department including holding of National level games.
