Frontier District Kargil poor in Mobile connectivity | Karbalia Writes letter to Ravi Shankar Parasad | Kargil, February 05 (Scoop News)- As the world is enjoying the inventions of communication frontier district Kargil is the most Far Flung area and cutoff place in terms of Telecommunications. These were stated by MLA Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalia in his letter to the Union Miinster for Communication and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad.
As the world is enjoying the third generation technology in communication and is eyeing on the fourth generation communication technology, people in Kargil are still deprived of from the basic connectivity of mobile services, and the issue has been projected at various levels but no concrete development is visible till date, Karbalia writes. As the whole world knows that Kargil remains cutoff from the rest of the world for nearly a period of 6 months due to the closure of NH1D at Zojjila Pass and telecommunication remains the only source to get connected with the rest of the world.
Reminding the commitments made by the Prime Minster Narendra Modi during his visit to Kargil on 12th of August 2014 as he said that “I want Progress to replace the sound of Guns” and also “I want Kargil to Progress Like Kutch”, Karbalia told that these commitments are still in the heart and mind of the people of Kargil, but it’s unfortunate to inform that nothing concrete steps for vikas or progress of Kargil has been taken. In the end Karbalia has demanded for providing BSNL Mobile Towers in different Villages of Kargil district and has hoped that under the dynamic leadership of the Union Minster this time conceret steps will be taken for better telecommunication facility in the district and the dream of “Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas”of the prime Minster will come true.
