Mankotia hold massive demonstration against M/S Gammon India PVT | |
Udhampur,February 05 (Scoop News)- Panthers Party activists including local youth, farmers, and public of panchayats Moud, Bali, Samroli, Chirdi, Kithers, Mada etc led by Panthers Party State President JKNPP Balwant Singh Mankotia held a massive protest demonstration at Moud in front of the office of the M/s Gammon India Pvt. Ltd. The local public also take out rally at village and blocked National Highway at Moud in support of their demands including ignorance of local youth in the employment, non-payment to farmers whose land had been acquired by the government for the construction of road from Udhampur to Chenani. Mr.Mankotia blamed M/s Gammon India Pvt. Ltd. for construction of their office forcibly at village Moud on private land without the consent of the land owners in connivance with some officials in local administration. He further said that the company had allotted work to the contractors from Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab etc. instead of local contractors of the said area who were blatantly ignored and as such they had only option to start strong agitation against the company, He also said that company had engaged hundreds of youth in the company from outside while ignoring the local youth who lost their agricultural land/houses/shops etc in the road construction. He added that at village Moud M/s Gammon India Pvt. Ltd. was constructing its office on the private land of local farmers by coercion without the consent of land owners which would also force them to start agitation against the company. He added that Panthers Party shall fully support the agitating youth, contractors, local residents and farmers. Mr. Mankotia warned M/S Gammon India Pvt. Ltd. to resolve the aforesaid issues within weeks time or else Panthers Party shall take the agitational course against the company from 12th of Feb. 2016.
