| DC Srinagar for early completion of Maternity, Children Hospital at Noorbagh | |  Srinagar,February 13 (Scoop News)-Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone Saturday called for early completion of under construction 30-bedded Habba Khatoon Maternity and Children Hospital at Noorbagh.
The Deputy Commissioner during his visit to the hospital directed the executing agencies to expedite construction work so that it is made functional in stipulated timeframe ..
He said the 30-bedded hospital is being constructed at the cost of Rs. 11.54 crores and Rs. 8.62 crores have been utilized till March 2015. He said 88 lakh rupees have been released this year and the hospital is nearing its completion.
The DC also asked Chief Medical Officer Srinagar to move the proposal regarding requirement of staff which can be met either by internal arrangements or by creation of new posts for the hospital.
Dr. Lone also inspected flood restoration sites and took stock of the availability of essential commodities. At Nawabazar, he visited flood restoration site at Ket Kul (stream) and directed the officials of I&FC to expedite the works on strengthening of its bunds,he also paid surprise visit to various LPG distribution centres and interacted with consumers and took feedback regarding the distribution process.
