NFSA implementation reviewed at Anantnag
Anantnag, February 13 (Scoop News)-Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag convened a meeting of officers of Revenue and CA&PD departments to review the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the district.
The ADC said that the district has achieved a distinction of consolidating the information on the number of beneficiaries under various categories under NFSA and its listing on the National Portal of India. He said that as the district is switching over to this new model of public distribution under the Act in the current month, the district would get adequate ration as per the souls listed in various categories of the scheme and as per the census 2011.
He said that as per the guidelines of the ACT, internal grievance redressed cells have been put in place in all the Tehsils of the district, which will recommend necessary actions into the matters pertaining to ration distribution, rectification, addition and deletion, if any in the e- ration tickets. He further said that in the latter stage, TPDS will be computerized in order to ensure transparent recording of transaction at the ground level and to prevent pilferage of subsidy money.
The ADC also took stock of the preparations made by the Revenue, CA&PD and other line departments regarding the final revision of the population related data. He stressed upon the officers to work in a coordinated way and remove all the identified impediments and ensure implementation of the Act in every part of the district in a smooth manner.
The meeting was informed that besides registering of the population, under the categories like Priority Households, which form the maximum percentage of the registered population and Non-Priority Households, adequate scope has been provided to include the migrant population of the district under the ambit of the Act.
The ADC further stressed upon the concerned officers to complete the linking of Aadhar with the ration distribution cards so that e-tickets are generated in a hassle free manner and direct benefit transfer to the consumer is achieved.
The meeting was attended by ACR, ACD, AD CAPD, SDMs, BDOs, Tehsildars, NTs, TSOs besides officers of other line departments.
