Major ingress bid foiled, two soldiers slain in counter terrorist operation
Gen Hooda expresses condolences to families of martyrs



Udhampur, February 13, (Scoop News)-Two brave soldiers of the Indian Army attained martyrdom in a counter terrorist operation in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.

Kupwara is over 100 km north of Srinagar, the summer capital of roiled Jammu and Kashmir.

Naik Shinde Shankar Chandrabhan and Gunner Sahadev Maruti More were martyred when they were engaged in a fierce encounter with a group of terrorists hiding in a built up area.

As per latest inputs, five terrorists have been gunned down and operations are still in progress.

Lt General DS Hooda, Army Commander, Northern Command has expressed his condolences to the families of the martyrs.
