| Information department organizes symposium, film show | | Udhampur , February 13 (Scoop News)-Department of Information & Public Relations, Udhampur today organized a symposium on the topic “Environmental Pollution” at Anand Bhartiya Vidyalaya, Bun Rathian.
Principal of the School, Ritu Abrol was the chief guest on the occasion.
About 19 students participated in the contest and expressed their views over the increasing pollution and stressed for the conservation of the environment.
Shivangi was adjudged first while Neha and Shriya stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in the symposium; Sourav and Sahil bagged consolation prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal appreciated efforts of Information Department for organizing such events in the rural areas. She said these type of competition provide a platform to students for channelizing their talent in right direction.
A film show was also organized on the theme ‘save the girl child’ highlighting the importance of generating awareness regarding the negative social impact of declining sex ratio.
Chairman of the school, K.L. Abrol, staff members, large number of people of the area and students were present on the occasion.
