UIDAI Officer reviews progress of Aadhaar Card enrolment in Leh

Leh, April 20, (Scoop News)-Prem Nagpal Section Officer UIDAI Regional Office Chandigarh today convened a meeting of concerned departments and agencies of Leh district headed by ADC, Leh RK Badyal regarding Aadhaar Seeding, Advance search, E-Eaadhaar Download, and various features of Aadhaar Act, 2016 with the main focus to speed up the coverage of Aadhaar Seeding under various Government Schemes so that maximum number of beneficiaries could be benefited through Direct Benefit Transfer in Leh district.
Underlining the direction of GoI for linking of all the beneficiaries with Aadhaar database under various govt schemes, Sh. Nagpal said that till date 81.03 % Aadhaar has be generated out of the total 105042 NPR population of Leh district and requested district administration for their help in 100 % coverage of Aadhaar in the district. To achieve maximum Aadhaar Seeding, he urged upon the concerned HODs to device various methods at their level adding that all the HODs will be given easy and advance search access by UIDAI to verify their beneficiaries.
The officers and managers of Gas agencies complained about the poor internet connectivity in Ladakh which is the main problem in linking of Aadhaar with database.
