| SDM Pahalgam reviews arrangements for ensuing tourist season | | Pahalgam, April 29 (Scoop News)-SDM Pahalgam, Nisar Ahmad today convened a meeting of officers to review the preparedness of various departments for the ensuing tourist season.
The meeting was attended by AD Tourism, Tehsildar Pahalgam, and SHO Pahalgam besides representatives of Hotelier associations.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM Pahalgam stressed upon the officers to press in their men and machinery to make all the necessary arrangements regarding cleanliness, beautification, provision of potable water, electricity and parking spaces especially in the central Pahalgam.
SDM stressed upon the concerned Municipal Authority to start a cleanliness drive so as to make the tourist destination polythene free. He also asked the concerned authority to start the registration of Pony Wallas, and tourist drivers.
He stressed upon the officials of UEED department to maintain drains and arrange proper disposal of the effluents.
