| Andrabi reviews Meraj-ul-Aalam ﷺ arrangements | | Srinagar, April 29 (Scoop News)-Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today chaired an officers meeting to review the arrangements for ensuing auspicious festival of Meraj-ul-Aalam (SAW).
The review meeting was attended by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, IGP Kashmir, Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam, Kulgam and Shopain DIG Central Kashmir, SDM East Srinagar, SSP Traffic Srinagar, besides CEs PHE, R&B and PDD and officers of SMC, Health, CA&PD, SRTC, Police and Fire & Emergency departments.
During the meeting the DCs briefed the Minister about steps taken for the celebration of the festival in their respective districts, where large congregations are expected.
The main gathering of devotees is expected at Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar, which houses the holy relic.
The meeting deliberated upon the arrangements like availability of transport, water and uninterrupted supply of power on festive days, sanitation, cleanliness in and around the main shrines, medicare facilities, proper parking facilities and other necessary facilities.
The Minister urged the officers to work in coordination and ensure proper arrangements are put in place for the celebration of Meraj-ul-Aalam, which is celebrated every year on Rajab 27.
