| Importance of PSGA highlighted at Baramulla | | NFSA implementation also reviewed |  Baramulla, May 02 (Scoop News)- In order to make Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) more effictive and accessible to the people, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Ms Yasha Mudgal taday chaired a meeting of officers of various departments at Dak Bunglow Baramulla. Meeting was attended by SEs, SSP, Joint Director Planning, SDMs, Tehsildars and other district and sectoral officers.
While highlighting the significance of implementation of PGSA, the DDC directed the officers to display the hoardings expressing guidelines regarding public services guarantees act at their respective offices. The DDC directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to hold awareness camps in their respective areas to highlight the importance of the act. Also the DDC directed them to maintain a proper register enrolling public grievances related data. The DDC also laid emphasis upon the proper redressal of public grievances so as to make administration more accountable to the people.
Meanwhile, the DDC took a comprehensive review of implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and distribution of ration in the district. Pointing the officers, the DDC directed to display the ration rate list in all tehsil as well as in respective TSO offices. Also the DDC directed concerned SDMs and Tehsildars to pay a surprise visit to their respective stores so as to maintain the standard ration rates.
While taking a thorough review about distribution of ration cards, the DDC directed the CA&PD department for early distribution of e-ration tickets to the consumers..
