AMK to hold its 38th annual conference in August
Awards committee constituted, book on AMK to be released soon

Srinagar: May 02 (Scoop News)- Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) will hold its 38th annual two day conference in the month of August with focus on Kashmiri language and current societies challenges. It will also release a book on its journey in the second week of May.
The decision to hold the conference in third or fourth week of August was taken at a meeting of AMK executive held at Hajin on Sunday under the chairmanship of President Syed Shujaat Bukhari. It was decided that the conference will be held at Bandipore and hosted by AMK's constituent Literary Forum Bandipore. A committee that will decided about the annual prestigious awards given by the AMK was also constituted under the chairmanship of Syed Shujaat Bukhari. The other members of committee are Atiqa Bano, Fayaz Tilgami, Syed Akhtar Mansoor and Mohammad Amin Bhat. A committee headed by general secretary Mohammad Amin with Adil Mohiuddin, Tariq Rasool Mir and Syed Akhtar Mansoor was also constituted for formulation of the agenda of the conference.
It was decided to hold the general body meeting of AMK on June 5 at its Sopore headquarters in which the annual budget will be passed and some amendments in the constitution will also be taken up. The executive also gave its nod to releasing of the book on the journey of AMK authored by Riyazul Hassan. It will be released in the second week of May. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the launch of quarterly literary journal PRAVE which is also available on internet.
