Gen Hooda flags off 22 elderly people from remote areas of Ladakh region on a 'NIT' to Chandigarh, Dharamsala and Rivalsar



Nyoma (Ladakh), May 18, (Scoop News)-A ‘National Integration Tour’ of 22 elderly people from remote areas of Ladakh region was flagged off Wednesday at Nyoma village district Leh by Lieutenant General DS Hooda, General Officer Commanding-in Chief, Northern Command.


The tour has been organised by the Fire and Fury Corps under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ and shall be visiting Chandigarh, Dharmasala and Rivalsar.


The aim of this excursion is to provide an insight to Buddhist culture and customs prevalent in other parts of the country.


The senior citizens have expressed deep gratitude for the initiative by Army and look forward to the tour.
