| Govt to give statement on security scenario on June 30: Dy CM | |
Srinagar, June 29 (Scoop News)-Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today informed the House that Government will give a detailed statement on the security Situation in the state on June 30 in the House.
The Deputy CM was speaking after opposition members raised the issue of security situation in the State. He said that it is a sensitive issue concerning not only the state but the entire country.
The Deputy CM said that Government is taking every step to prevent militancy related incidents. He said that Government is strengthening the security grid particularly on the eve of coming Amarnath Yatra and ongoing Tourism season in the State.
Earlier, leader of Opposition Omar Abdullah said that Government should take into confidence entire House with regards to security situation in the State and necessary steps should be taken to tackle it. He said that Government should come up with a detailed statement on the issue. He said the security situation is related to entire population of Jammu and Kashmir and Government should inform the House about the preventive measures taken in this regard.
Ali Mohammad Sagar, Devinder Rana also presented their views on the subject.
