Several deputations call on CM
Jammu, June 30 (Scoop News)- Several deputations called on the Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti here this evening and brought to her notice their grievances, demands and developmental issues of the concerned areas.
A deputation of Tourism Federation of Jammu sought Chief Minister’s intervention in facilitating early commissioning of the integrated sewerage treatment plant for old Jammu city which has been constructed by the Government of India subsidiary, NBCC at a cost of Rs 130 crore and was slated for commissioning in January 2015. They also demanded connecting of all the small hotels of old Jammu city with this integrated STP.
Another delegation of Media Federation of India (MFI) also called on the Chief Minister and sought her intervention in resolving various issues related to media in the State.
Besides, several individuals and civil society representatives also called on the Chief Minister and apprised her of their individual and collective problems and grievances.
The Chief Minister assured the deputations that the issues flagged by them would be taken up for redress at the appropriate levels in the Government. She said the government is alive to the people’s problems and necessary measures are already afoot to upgrade basic amenities and ensure prompt public service delivery.
