Separatist leaders appeal international community
urge people to remain steadfast and follow programme announced earlier



Srinagar, July 23, (Scoop News)-Terming the use of force by security forces and their agencies, separatist leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a joint statement on Saturday said this is a grave matter of concern and international community cannot stay silent on it.


Stressing that valley today was collectively fighting for justice, the leaders said in such circumstances it is the collective responsibility of both the leadership and the people to carry the struggle forward with consistency, resolve and unity.

Appealing people, separatist leadership asked them to remain steadfast and follow the already given programme.

Paying tributes to the people who were killed in the recent uprising, the leaders urged people to participate in the July 25, 2016 (Monday) programmes to be held at south Kashmir’s Anantnag district to express solidarity with the people of south Kashmir and register their protest against the killings during the past 15 days.

As per the program tributes will be paid to the recent and all the martyrs of Kashmir’s resistance movement at the historic Lal Chowk in Islamabad district on Monday (July 25, 16) after Zuhr prayers where the leadership and people will once again renew their pledge to carry forward the resistance struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion.

Terming the oppression and suppression, continued curfew, restrictions, and an atmosphere of terror among the people and creating an emergency like situation with the shortage of essential commodities, baby food and medicines, separatist leaders condemned the government’s anti-people policies and said this tactics cannot break the will of the people.

Warning to be cautious of the anti-unity and anti-people forces, the leaders called upon people to help one another and reach out to the needy in these difficult and trying times.
