Speaker chairs RKS meeting at Gandhi Nagar Hospital
Stresses on further improvement in patient care

Jammu, August 26 (Scoop News)- Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today reviewed the functioning of Gandhi Nagar Hospital at Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) meeting.
While addressing the meeting, the Speaker said that a huge number of patients come to government hospitals for their healthcare requirements and these should work at full capacity to meet the needs and provide the people with best medical care facilities.
“With the efforts of the Samiti, Gandhi Nagar hospital has shown constant improvement which has helped in easing rush in the Medical College Hospital” the speaker noted with satisfaction.
Responding to the needs and requirements listed in the meeting, the Speaker assured his full cooperation and said that best efforts will be made to ensure that the good work of the committee continues unhindered.
Kavinder Gupta also announced an air conditioned ambulance for the Hospital under his CDF to further strengthen the healthcare in the hospital.
Reviewing functioning of various sections of the hospital, the Speaker directed for holding regular meetings to discuss strategies for further improvement of health care facilities in the hospital.
Later, Medical Superintendent Dr. Madhuri Salathia presented a detailed resume on the physical and financial achievements of the hospital.
She highlighted the major achievements like installation of Digital X-Ray machine, upgradation of Sick New Born Care Unit (SNCU) with two oxygen concentrators, two pulseoximeter, two infusion pumps and two phototherapy machines, completion of work on repair and renovation of consultant room in Gynae OT complex etc in the hospital.
She also informed the meeting that ongoing work for establishment of District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) under Rashtriya Bal Swastik Karyakaram (RBSK) is near completion and is expected to be finished in the very near future.
Members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Chief Medical Officer Jammu and other senior officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
