| LMD team inspects eateries in Jammu | | Jammu, August 26 (Scoop News)- A team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) today conducted surprise inspection of various eateries here in city markets.
The team led by Inspector LMD Jammu Lower M Khateeb conducted checking of the establishments dealing with Channa Puri, Channa Pathura, Pao Bhaji and other eatables at Trikuta Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and adjoining areas. The team detected three establishments charging more than the rates fixed by Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer affairs. The defaulting traders were fined on spot and a penalty of Rs 6000 was charged from them.
The inspection was conducted on the directions of V.S Sambyal Joint Controller Legal Metrology Department.
