All political parties must rise above partisan politics : Rangil Singh


Jammu, August 27(Scoop News)- There is most urgent need of reviving peace and reconciliation process in Jammu and Kashmir and for this purpose wholehearted sincere positive contribution from all the political parties, civil societies and right thinking citizens is much imperative.
Addressing a press conference at Jammu on Saturday, the Vice President (PDP) S.Rangil Singh called upon all political parties to rise above their affiliations and contribute positively for ridding the people from their miseries heaped on them during unrest in the valley. He added that the reconciliation process which had started in 2002 by then NDA Government had shown tangible results on the ground.
Referring to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's agenda of alliance MR. Singh reiterated that this is not event related but it is a process which would be taken to logical conclusion through tangible initiations of political, economic and administrative fronts including dialogue with all the stakeholders to address momentous challenges confronting J&K State. Reminding the political parties of their role at this juncture, Mr. Singh said that it is not the time to find fault with the ongoing peacemaking initiative merely to gain political mileage without feeling the agony of the suffers. "The situation requires whole hearted cooperation from every political party, "he added." efforts need not be made to fish in the troubled waters," he observed.
Replying to a query, the Vice President claimed that the youth of the state are a great source of power for holistic development, but unfortunately their emotional powers are being misused by certain disgruntled politicians and vested interest resulting in suicidal impacts on entire society. Students and youth are souls of society and without their positive role society becomes lifeless, he added. Kashmiri youth full of talent and have excelled in every- competition. If they go astray, then entire fault lies with someone else who do not want to see their families progress." Singh added now a comprehensive plan to constrictively channelize youth energy has been stated by the state and Union Governments and now a time has come when they should refuse to listen to the dictates of merchants of blood and devastation, he added.
Seeking help from all the sections of society, Mr. Singh asked them to rise to the occasion and contribute for bringing back peace and normalcy in the State. Our people are known for their secular traditions and they should not be flayed away with directions of mischievous elements, Singh said.
Expressing deep sympathies with violence victim families, Mr. Singh said that a comprehensive programme has been chalked out to ensure meaningful and dignified living for their kith and kills with the restoration of normalcy, the healing process will start percolating to them, Mr. Sigh added. Mr. Singh also eulogized the people of Jammu for their significant role in maintaining normalcy despite provocations and standing unitedly like a rock to defeat the mechanisations of nefarious powers sent upon creating cleavage and trouble in this so for peaceful region. The party stands solidly behind our party President (C.M) for her endeavour to brining the State out of the present ugly situation. Her converge in these circumstances is beyond appreciation.

Bajwa Vijaya Dogra, Daman Bhasin, Fallail Singh, Deepak Handa, Sukhwinder Singh, R.K. Bali, Satpal Charak, Hussain Ali Wafa, Vikas Bhatti, Jatinder Bhat, Bhusan Lal Dogra (Vice Chairman), Ashok Jogi, Rasheed Malik, Dr Harmesh Salathia and F C Bhagat.
