Academy to nurture the artistic talent of Poonch, Rajouri Youths

Rajouri ,August 27(Scoop News)-In order to attract the potential youths of Pirpanchal area towards their Culture and rich ethos -the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art , Culture and Languages has started new series of programme to nurture the talents of border youths in the field of literature and culture. The second event of the series was held at Govt Degree College Thanamandi today while first event was held in Govt PG college, Rajouri.

Prominent writer of the State Shahbaz Rajourvi presided over the function while Dr. Javaid Rahi Chief Editor JKAACL and Prof. Shakeel Raina- Principal GDC Thana Mandi and were in the presidium.

Welcoming the guests Dr. Javaid Rahi stated that State Academy has recently started a series of Programme in degree colleges of twin border districts Rajouri- Poonch to attract talented young generation towards their regional cultural heritage. The objectives of this programme was to nurture the capacity of the youths by catching them young in the field of culture.He said in today's programme more than 25 senior writers were being invited to talk about their artistic skills of creating literature besides they have presented selected literary creations which were appreciated by the audience and the youths.

In his presidential address Shahbaz Rajourvi stressed upon the new generation to strive hard to preserve and propagate their age old culture, literature. He said Academy should organise series of workshops/Seminar to nurture the artistic skills of yuths of border districts.

Dr. Shakeel Raina said that the Poonch Rajouri area is full of talented youths and our institution is providing proper platform to the budding talent of the area. He said that GDC Thanamandi is emerging as a cultural hub and he invited the cultural institution to organise big events in the college.

Prominent those who recited their literary creations included Khursheed Bismal, Fida Rajourvi, Shahbaz Rajourvi, Qayoom Nayak, Rafeeq Soz, Lal Hussain Parwaz, Liaqat Nayer, Dr. Nayeem un Nisa , Prof Shakeel, Juaid Jazib, Prof. MA Qadri, Wasib Lattif , Bashir Khaki, Kareem Rehmati , Dr Arif Malik, Zakir khaki and others.
Dr. Arif Malik conducted the programme and presented vote of thanks to the chair.
