AJKLTF demands immediate release of pending salary, grants of SSA/RAMSA/NPS
and Mid day meals grants


Jammu, August 28 (Scoop News)-A meeting of the All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF)held under the Chairmanship of Balwan Singh Jamwal today at Jammu to discuss the burning issues of the teaching fraternity with special reference to the non-release of salary grants of SSA/RAMSA/NPS and mid day meal pending for the last many months and failure of the state Govt. to resolve other just and Genuine demands of the teaching community in spite of repeated request by the federation through memorandum/Charters of demands to the authorities from time to time.
Following demands were discussed in detail by the members of the federation and requested the Education Minister Neem Akhtar to take personal interest to redressal of long pending demands of the Teaching Community.
Demand are as Immediate release of pending salary grants of SSA/RAMSA/NPS and Mid day meals grants.
Proper home work to be done by the concerned while effecting the transfer/Adjustment of teacher/Master and modification of genuine cashes of teachers/masters.
Filling of All vacant post in school Education department.
Cash-in-lieu in respect of teachers at the time of retirement at per with the other state/ Govt. employees.
Senior Teacher grade to the undergraduate teachers.
Regularization of All cadres of School Education at the time of their promotion.
Enhancement of medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 2000/- per month.
While addressing the meeting Balwan Singh Jamwal President of the Federation strongly castigated the state Government for its failure to release timely release of salaries of the teaching staff working in the Education institutions of the State Particularly in respect of NPS/SSA/RAMSA Category. He said that even the salaries and DA of teacher of certain categories for the last financial year an upto this year has not been released yet. It appears that the ruling dispensation deems timely release of salary i.e on the last day of the month as matter of favor rather than the matter of right of the person who has worked for the entire month. Jamwal also demanded that present medical allowance is a mere joke to the salary class/pensioner be enhance from Rs. 300/- to 2000.
Members of the federation express their serious concern about Midday Meal programe in the Govt. Schools, which has become totally a mess since the expenditures incurred on the preparation of meals by the teachers out of their own pocket has not been released since months together. He demands of providing proper mid-day meal infra structure and timely’ release of Mid day meal grant for smoothly running of the said scheme.
Members of the Federation express their serious concern regarding the maladjustment of some genuine cases of teacher/masters and demanded their modification on humanitarian ground from the Director School Educaion.
Members of the Federation reiterates their demand of filing all vacant posts of the teacher, Master, Headmaster, ZEO’s, Lecturers immediately for streamlining the Education System. Cash-in-lieu in respect of teachers at retirement, Release of Sr, teacher grade for undergraduate teachers, regularization of all cadres including Headmasters, Lecturers, ZEO’s, Principals, CEO’s etc working in their own pay & grade and in future making all promotion on regular basis.
Masters working outside their home distt. having completed their tenure be immediately brought back and adjusted suitably.
Prominent among those who addressed and attended the meeting included Joginder Singh Manhas (working President), Manga Ram Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma, Tara Chand, Shamsher Singh, Mohan Lal Sharma, Naresh Chowdhary, Yasin Ahmed, Sanjiwan Singh Jamwal, Rakesh Kalgotra. Jagdeep Singh, Sandal Singh, Sb. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Naresh Kumar, Satish Kumar, Satish Sharma, Som Raj Sharma, Yograj, Suresh Kumar, Netar Singh, Dinesh Singh Jamwal, Jyoti Parkash Sharma, Naresh Pal Sharma, Dinesh Singh, Kuldeep Gupta, Rajinder Sharma and others.
