| Army holds inter school competition, events included debate, quiz contest and cultural festival | | 
Darchik (Ladakh), September 24, (Scoop News)-Carrying forward the spirit of ‘Sadhbhavna’ whereby the Army undertakes projects to reach out to the local populace of far-flung areas, an Inter School Competition was conducted under aegis of Tiger Hill Brigade at Govt Middle School, Darchik to facilitate our future generations to interact with their peer groups from different schools of Batalik Sector.
The events included Debate, Quiz Competition and a Cultural Festival. Students of eight schools from the villages of Garkon, Sanachey, Chullichang, Batalik, Gurgurdo, Sharche and Darchiks participated with great zeal, spirit and passion. The winners and participants were honoured with prizes by the Army. The event was attended by Mr Mohd Musa, the Zonal Education Officer, Kargil who was also the guest of honour.
The aim of the event was to instill a sense of awareness amongst school going children on various social causes, promote national integration, generate goodwill, foster national spirit and reveal new horizons to the young impressionable minds.
This venture of the Tiger Hill Brigade in addition to being a great educational experience will also prove to be yet another milestone in establishing cordial Civil-Army relations as well as enhancing the ongoing confidence building measures being undertaken by the Army as part of ‘Sadhbhavna Mission’.
