Army flagged-in trekking expedition


Udhampur,, September 28, (Scoop News)-The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Gool today Flagged Off a Trekking Expedition which will traverse over the mighty Pir Panjal ranges over a period of 24 days. The expedition consisting of 16 member is led by Captain Hunr Jain. The expedition commenced from Dudu of Ramban district and will terminate at Machedi, the beautiful locales of Bhaderwah. The team will traverse at heights from 5000 feet to 12,500 feet during the course of the expedition, which is a challenge in itself.

The objective of the trekking expedition is to instill a sense of adventure, interact with the locals, inform the people of the various schemes and facilities for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and motivate the youth to take up a career in Army.The expedition will also help in gaining vast experience of the customs and traditions of the local populace.
