APHC alleges govt forces using excessive force on protest demonstrations | |
Srinagar, September 28, (Scoop News)-All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Wednesday said that peaceful protest demonstrations across Kashmir and Chenab valley were being allegedly dealt with excessive force by using teargas shells and baton charge.
Lauding the unique effort of the residents of Aga Hamam Habba Kadal in addressing the needs of the most affected in their locality during the current agitation the spokesman said that such acts show us the way of how our ongoing movement can be strengthened supported and sustained indigneously .
Spokesman said strengthening our local community institutions will not only make us independent of relying on govt. aid help like beggars which the government them exploits, but will inculcate in us the virtue of self reliance and deepen our community bonding and concern for one another.
APHC spokesman also condemned the alleged arrests of youth across the valley on a daily basis and reports of alleged large scale vandalization and looting of homes and shops in Langate area of Kupwara district by the forces to instill fear among the residents and harass them.
The spokesman said such brazen highhandedness by the forces is a result of the impunity they enjoy as there is no law to hold them accountable and liable to punishment .On the contrary this lawlessness is used are used as a means of coercion and suppression of the population into submission. The spokesman commended the deep commitment of people, students, traders, doctors, transporters, shopkeepers, daily wage earners, employees or others ,who despite suffering huge losses are not ready to succumb to the machinations and threats of the ruling regime.
