| Admin finalizes Navratra, Dusherra arrangements in Kishtwar | |  Kishtwar, September 30, (Scoop News)-District Administration Kishtwar today finalized arrangements for upcoming Navratra and Dusherra festivals at joint meeting of officials and representatives of religious organizations.
The meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, G N Balwan was attended by heads of line departments, senior functionaries of police, Municipal body and members of Sanathan Dharam Sabha and Adarsh Dramatic Club.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC directed concerned officers to ensure arrangements like adequate drinking water, uninterrupted power Supply, Sanitation, sufficient stocks of essential commodities and other arrangements.
Reviewing security arrangements, the DC asked Police authorities to deploy adequate number of security personnel in and around markets, religious places etc to maintain law and order during the festival days.
Emphasizing on regular market checking, he directed Executive Officer Municipality Kishtwar to conduct regular inspections to enforce approved price of commodities, including fruit vegetables and other consumable items and act tough against violators. The DC also called for launch of a special cleanliness drive for giving the town a festive look.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Wazir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sayeed Khan, Chief Planning Officer Yasir Balwan, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Education Officer A.H Fani, Chief Medical Officer besides various other district officers attended the meeting.
