DRSC-III in Leh, visit SNM Hospital, holds review meeting | | Leh, October 21, (Scoop News)- A joint meeting of the Departmental Related Standing Committee-III (DRSC) of Legislative Council and Councilors of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) was held today at Leh. The meeting discussed issues related to Education, Irrigation Flood Control, R&B, and Cooperative Departments. On the occasion, CEC LAHDC Leh Dr. Sonam Dawa briefed the meeting about issues like filling up of vacant posts in various departments of the district, up-gradation of the SNM Hospital, creation of posts in Health, Education and Agriculture sectors, besides safe and adequate drinking water facilities in the district. He further requested the committee members to put forward all those proposals and DPRs concerned with the important developmental issues of the district that were already submitted to the State Government to put up with the Centre for approval. Chairman DRSC-III Dr. Bashir Ahmed Shah (Veeri) gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by the concerned Councilors and assured them of all possible help in early redressal of these issues. GN Monga, Showkat Hussain Ganie, Sham Lala Bhagat were part of the LC DRSC team. Superintendent Engineer PWD, Chief Education Officer Leh and Deputy Registrar Cooperatives presented their departmental issues through power point presentations, while as Chief Medical Officer Leh gave an overview of the present departmental scenario at SNM Hospital and other medical centers. Earlier, the DRSC members visited the SNM Hospital and inspected various sections of the hospital and interacted with patients about the facilities being provided to them. ADC Leh, HODs of various concerned Departments and BDOs of various blocks of Leh were present in the meeting. ... |
