BSF jawan,7 year-old boy killed, 9 others injured in Pakistan firing
One militant killed in Kupwara

Jammu/Srinagar, October 24, (Scoop News)- BSF Head constable Sushil Kumar and a seven year old boy were killed and nine others were critically injured on Monday in Pakistan shelling along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir state.


According to reports BSF Head constable Sushil Kumar sustained splinter injuries in upper part of chest while retaliating the Pakistan fire. He was immediately evacuated to Government Medical Collage with first aid where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Reports said that another BSF Jawan was injured in the firing and being treated at the Government Medical collage. A local woman was also injured in the firing. Firing is still going on.


“Pak troops targeted 13 border outposts and civilian areas along International Border in R S Pura, Pargwal and Kanachak sectors in Jammu using mortar shells and firing small arms”Reports said.



In another incident seven year old boy was killed and several injured in shelling and firing by Pakistan in Kanachak sector.

Reports said that the boy was killed as Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked firing in a "complete bizarre manner" towards civilian areas at Laliyal village in RS Pura.

Out of the nine injured in the overnight firing, condition of a woman was stated to be critical.



Meanwhile of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant was killed in an encounter in Kupwara in North Kashmir today
Sources said that Security forces cordoned off Kawari in Varnov Lolab area of Kupwara during the night after inputs about presence of militants in the area. The militant fired at troops leading to an encounter in which one militant was killed. Massive searches are on in the area.
