| RRB at Samote organises a cross country competition | | in collaboration with GDC and JKP-Buddhal to promote sports |
Samote, October 24, (Scoop News)-The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Samote organised a cross country competition in coordination with Govt Degree College, Budhal and JK Police Budhal with an endeavor to promote sports.
With the aim to positively engage youth of remote areas as well introduce sports as a healthy pursuit to living, the competition was organised under the title ' Run for Fun'.
A total of 47 youth participated in the event. All the participants displayed sportsman spirit, enthusiasm and vigor. The event was a crowd puller attracting youth and local villagers, who cheered for the participants.
The 'Run for Fun' organised by Army will be a stepping stone in bringing Youth from multicultural backgrounds together and integrating them through sports.
The local populace appreciated the initiative taken by the Army to promote and encourage sports amongst the youth in the area.... |
